Jemson reached my house at 8 and at 9 , we were off to Lal Bagh flower show after our breakfast.I had a 100 ASA film that demanded a rock steady hand and promised a grain free result in return. He had a 200 ASA film - safer.Once we were inside the glasshouse , the flowers were pulling us from everywhere. We had a great time at photography.Common Jezbel butterfly was one pleasant surprise.I snapped a cheese-smiling foreigner holding the indian flag balloon. The greatest miss of the day was the miss whom I focussed for a long time in the pretext of shooting the glasshouse while she was walking towards me through the crowd.I was so engrossed in her beauty that I did not realise that she was directly in front of me( say 5 feet). She was aware of the prank and it showed on her face , the beauty taking on a different note.I ended up not taking her snap properly.I did take one with her side and the glasshouse as background without focussing properly. That definitely was the greatest miss of the day.Two palmfly butterflies were talking each other. We watched the show for quite a long time hoping for their rest which never happened.Jemson did take a few snaps while the butterflies had slowed down considerably while I did not as I had a 100 speed film.It was a long fruitful day , the other attractions being a Japanese lunch at Yamagam restuarant over which we had a discussion about the Japanese people , The Wall cassette from 'Planet M' , getting our snaps developed and Cded and a Palio wash. The snaps had come out quite well and the 100 ASA gamble had paid off.
